Architecture register / Stack 01

Independence has layers.

Six connected capabilities trace the dependencies between physical infrastructure, digital utilities, and human stewardship.

Two maps / one institution

The divisions organize the work. The stack exposes the dependencies.

Empire's five divisions describe institutional responsibility. These six layers describe the capabilities that responsibility must eventually govern. They overlap by design, but they are not interchangeable.

Interactive dependency trace

Select a layer. Follow what it requires and what it makes possible.

The stack reads from physical foundations toward citizen agency and stewardship. A failure lower in the model propagates upward.

SDU / Layer 05

SDU

Citizen-facing digital utilities
Control objective
Portable identity, private communication, coordination, culture, and economic participation.
Failure if absent
People receive another closed product instead of durable agency they can carry between systems.
First credible proof
Account, identity, publishing, talent, and controlled member foundations now being assembled.

Architecture rules

Integration without captivity.

Every layer is judged by the same three constraints before integration counts as progress.

  1. 01

    Composability

Every layer must stand alone and strengthen the whole.

Verification questionCan one component change without collapsing the system around it?
  2. 02

    Portability

People must be able to carry their lives forward.

Verification questionCan identity, relationships, rights, and information leave a product boundary?
  3. 03

    Restraint

Collect less. Explain more. Preserve choice.

Verification questionDoes the system refuse data and power it does not need?

Claim discipline

A map is not a completion claim.

Active development

Capability is being designed, built, or tested now.

Long-range plan

A declared construction horizon, not a claim of present operation.

Governance thesis

A principle and institutional requirement still being formalized.

From map to work

Architecture earns meaning through proof.

The builder brief explains how Empire turns a long-range dependency map into bounded, testable work.
